Current alternatives by movement and case size

37mm small-seconds quartz: the Thorn T0001 VD78 dress watch offers a 37mm steel case, sapphire crystal, separate small-seconds display and stated 30m water resistance. It shares the VD78 movement family with the historical IXDAO quartz model, but case, dial, strap and water-resistance specifications should be compared separately.

Compact automatic diver: the San Martin SN0138-GB is a 37mm ST2130 automatic with a 45.8mm lug-to-lug length, unidirectional aluminum bezel, sapphire crystal and stated 200m water resistance. It is an alternative diver, not a new version of the IXDAO 5305.

NH35 cushion-case diver: the ADDIESDIVE H8 uses an NH35 automatic movement and a 43.8mm steel case. Its 46.8mm lug-to-lug length, sapphire crystal and stated 200m rating make it another option to compare, but its broad case is not a like-for-like Mini Turtle replacement.
